Yes, ARAM Companion is completely free. There are no ads, no paywalls, and no premium tiers. We believe every ARAM player deserves a fair advantage.

ARAM Companion uses screen capture (OCR) technology and does not interact with or modify the game client in any way. It reads what's on your screen — similar to having a guide open on a second monitor. It provides information only and does not automate any gameplay actions. That said, Riot's policies can change, and we recommend checking their latest terms if you have concerns.

During champion select, ARAM Companion captures your screen and uses optical character recognition (OCR) to identify which champions are available. It then cross-references this with our database to overlay tier ratings, win rates, and build recommendations directly on each champion portrait.

Yes, ARAM Companion works with all League of Legends regions. Screen capture-based detection is region-independent.

Champion tier data is updated with every League of Legends patch (approximately every 2 weeks). We analyze millions of ARAM matches to keep our rankings accurate and up-to-date.

Minimum: Windows 10 (64-bit), Intel Core i3 or AMD equivalent, 4GB RAM, League of Legends installed. Recommended: Windows 11 (64-bit), Intel Core i5 or AMD equivalent, 8GB RAM, SSD storage.

ARAM Companion is designed specifically for ARAM (Howling Abyss). It does not currently support Summoner's Rift, TFT, or other game modes. For TFT players, check out our sister tool TFT Vision (coming soon!).

Simply download the installer from our download page, run it, and follow the on-screen instructions. Launch ARAM Companion before starting a game — it works automatically from there!

ARAM Companion is lightweight and designed to run with minimal system impact. It uses less than 2% CPU and under 200MB RAM on most systems. You shouldn't notice any FPS drops while it's running.

Our champion tier data is sourced from millions of analyzed ARAM matches via the Riot Games API and third-party analytics services like lolalytics.com. Augment and build data is derived from the same match analysis pipeline.

Currently, ARAM Companion is Windows-only. macOS and Linux support are on our roadmap but not yet available.
